I wanted the words in Patriotic Revolution to feel like they were being held up and read, rather than just floating over footage. The finished lyric video puts each line on its own torn strip of cream paper, with black stencil lettering, a little crimson and a dark harbour-night backdrop.
The movement follows the song’s 140 BPM pulse. I used the existing audio and timing work to give the paper, crowd, microphone and reflections a sense of life, while keeping the words readable. It runs for the whole 2:42 track, with the explicit lyrics intact and a first frame that tells you what you are watching.
The song is my independent response to Danny Tommo’s Dover and Portsmouth livestreams. It is about peaceful and lawful assembly, restraint and accountability; it is not an official or endorsed production, neutral reporting or legal advice. I have kept the song, lyrics and source context together on its own page.
The film is also available on TikTok and Instagram. The platforms crop and display things differently, so those versions are useful checks on whether the paper and type still read at phone size. A public post or a view count does not tell me how much of the film someone watched; I am treating that as a separate measurement question.
